Hello. The Shanghai 1938 restaurant opened in January 2007. We are excited about our future in the Champaign Urbana, Savoy and neighboring communities. Our goal is to provide excellent food and service in a comfortable setting.
Many of our customers are interested in our name. Shanghai 1938 is a restaurant designed to resemble old Shanghai in the late 1930’s, hence the name Shanghai 1938.
