Wei Guo Huang

Mr. Huang has been in the restaurant business for almost ten years. He worked in various Chinese restaurants before starting his own business. He has worked in Hunan Wok Chinese Restaurant in Mississippi and Mandarin Garden in St. Peters, St Charles before moving to Champaign in 1999. He also took over Chinese Express, which is located at Green Street in Champaign and has operated the business for 7 years.   In 2000, he opened a sandwich shop on Green Street in Champaign which he operated for two years.
In 2005, he sold Chinese Express and moved to Southern Illinois but his love for Champaign has brought him back to Shanghai 1938 in Village at the Crossing. The restaurant was name Shanghai 1938 because Mr. Huang came to the U.S. from Shanghai.
